OK, so let's move something aside: this is a restaurant in a mini-mall in the Tucson area. So you're not going to be able to avoid the occasional truck shining its lights at you. But after that? Ohmigosh. This place was the best. Our server was so charming, they guided us to a great wine, were so attentive, helped advise us on what to order that wouldn't result in us taking a ton of leftovers back to our hotel, and it was just great! We were sad we didn't go to Commoner & Co twice on our 5 day trip. PS. the handmade pasta is fabulous.

Outstanding dinner and drinks. Very interesting menu with options for almost everyone. Cocktails are well make and also have plenty of variability. Will go again.

It was a really great meal for all three of us. Sometimes I think they add too many ingredients so we asked them to leave some weird stuff (I.e.,pine nuts and goat cheese and olive oil on desserts??? Really?), but I love the food and David, our server was fantastic. Adorable and really honest. I love the menu change as well. Thanks! It was more comfort food with a twist. Omg we will be back! And we are locals!

Delicious as always. Tempura shrimp was a hit this past Friday. Wife loves their fried chicken sandwich. Kids always enjoy their 7 grilled cheese (drink included). Upscale atmosphere, but still very comfortable.

Great hang for happy hour if you live in the Ventana/Sabino area. While you’re sipping on one of their tasty cocktails, count the number of BMW's, Mercedes, Porches, etc., in the parking lot and count your blessings: Life is good in the bubble. Happy Hour runs 4-6 pm. They do half-price on bottles of wine on Monday and offer a yummy fried chicken dinner on Tuesdays. Their pasta dishes feature homemade tagliatelle that is al dente & delicious. The gnocchi with mushrooms is a must. I’ve only recently rediscovered Commoner after many years (2016?), and the service is great. Bar staff friendly and helpful and Marcus (I think that's the manager's name) is the best.

We were staying at Ventana Canyon Resort and wanted to experience something near by for dinner. After looking at options near by, this seemed like an obvious choice. Made a reservation on Open Table for a 6:30pm on a Sunday night and there was hardly anyone there when we arrived. Reservations were not needed. The host was friendly and seated us right away. Our server was Alex and he was extremely polite and attentive. He gave great recommendations and guided us to our choices. I started with a glass of wine, the Carmel Road Cabernet Sauvignon that had a decent rating of 3.7 out of 5 on the Vivino app, which didn't disappoint. We chose to not have an appetizer and ordered our entrees. I had the orchiette crab pasta which was delicious. He had the meatloaf that came with mashed potatoes and carrots which he thoroughly enjoyed, although it was more than he wanted to eat, he definitely recommendeds. We finished off our meal with the olive oil cake dessert. When he initially mentioned the two options, I wasn't particularly swayed either way, but he wanted a piece of cake and when I tell you I was surprised at how moist and delicious it was. During our time here the restaurant filled up with other patrons, but it was never uncomfortable. He did mention that he agreed with other reviewers as far as the noise level and the acoustics, I didn't even notice. Overall, it was a great experience with exceptional service. I would definitely recommend and look forward to visiting again.

What a wonderful place! My wife and I had dinner at the bar while we watched a Monday night NFL game. The beverages were wonderful (not simply due to the alcohol content). We both had pasta and salad. Both dishes were delicious. The sauces were flavorful and subtle. The shrimp I added were plentiful and tasty. Our bartender/server was Rae and she was a joy. Ambience there is very nice and the only reason the atmosphere was a four for me was that you can only do so much in a small strip mall. Every customer was greeted within thirty seconds even though there was no one designated in that role. Keep up the great work.

That was such a good dinner! Didn’t need a reservation, place wasn’t even one third full Sunday evening. The service was fast and attentive, food prompt and delicious, server was fantastic. The pear Gimlet drink was phenomenal. The only minus is that they had a big party in the private event area/room with a lot of people, and the doors were left wide open the whole evening, which made the entire restaurant VERY loud. It’s hard to enjoy yourself with a loud crowd cheering and laughing steps away from you. It was only private for them, but everyone else had to hear them, I saw the other guests being uncomfortable too.
